Abstract
introduction: The term "scientific supremacy " was first introduced by Ayatollah Khamenei and had been explained many times in meetings with academic faculties. After that, achieving this great goal was included in the vision document of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the comprehensive scientific map of the country; and various researchers defined, interpreted and explained this concept; so the definition and examples of this concept developed over time and in addition to the direct meaning of this concept the parallel concepts were formed and developed, therefore, due to the need to explain the roots of this concept over time, this study aim was analyze the discourse of scientific supremacy in Iran.
Methods: This qualitative study was conducted according to Norman Fairclough critical discourse analysis method, this method focused on three categories of text, discourse action and social action. For this purpose, the contemporary discourse of Iran in the field of scientific supremacy was examined and analyzed according to the Fairclough critical discourse analysis method.
Results: The findings of this study consisted of 1232 codes (simple and compound) which led to the abstraction of 40 discourse themes.
Conclusion: Identifying the discourse context of scientific supremacy in the country will help to define more accurately, scientific measurement and more appropriate planning to achieve supremacy.
