Introduction: One of the most important motivations of human beings is the motivation of progress which leads to better performance and academic success and this is an important indicator for the usefulness of the higher education system.

Conclusion: According to the results, most students, with a slight difference, had high motivation, which is not entirely desirable and requires planned educational interventions. This motivation was higher in girls and people living in the house. The main reasons for reducing this motivation These included lack of internal motivation, lack of adequate leisure time, economic problems, fear of future careers, lack of proper relationship with professors, insufficient attention to their self-esteem and separation from family. It is suggested that educational systems pay more attention to the factors affecting motivation and provide solutions to overcome educational barriers.
