Abstract Background: The people give attention to spirituality and religion during their sickness time over than other time. Prayer is the spirituality and religious source common that patients using it. When person face to danger about life, he /she resort to prayer that is linkage between he/she and God. This research has performed to prayer experiences description aim in cancer patient's life that hospitalization under chemotherapy. Knowledge of prayer experiences in life of this patients help us obtain deep recognition about prayer effect on this various patient's life aspect and try to increasing their life quality. Methods: This research design of qualitative (phenomenology) one. Sampling was carried out on a purpose – based approach and was continued until saturation of the data occurred. Collected Information is by interview without structure with 12 cancer patients and hospitalized under chemotherapy. Results: Obtained interviews analyzed. 6 main concepts obtained that including worship and adoration, wanting aid, calm, spirituality reflection against cancer diagnosis, believes and approaches and spirituality support. Conclusion: This research results showed that resort prayer can effect on cancer patient life quality various aspects that hospitalized under chemotherapy. So, resolving spirituality and religious needs of these patients are tasks nurses spirituality caring of these patients.
