Background and objective: The internationalization of medical education is one of the aspects of Hexagonal Model of University Excellence. It is considered in the upstream documents as the responsibility of the higher education system for promotion scientific collaboration in regional and global levels while preserving national authority.
Methods and Materials: In the present article, we attempt to address the various aspects of internationalization medical sciences by providing suggestions on the way forward according to key informant and related policy makers’ opinion.
Results: The main features of effective internationalization are as follow; extensive supply of higher medical education capacities in national and international levels, monitor medical sciences international collaboration, and develop the country's scientific exchange network and joint educational programs with the worlds authentic universities.
It is remarkable, Internationalization doesn’t limit to invite foreign students and joint research projects. But, the leadership of journals, scientific associations and international institutions abroad, and the establishment of international branches could be bring out operative internationalization.
Conclusion: Ideation and innovation, appropriate training for international presence, and scientific authority could be a critical step towards the realization of the effective medical education internationalization.
